Well, hello.
My last recipe post was just over a year ago (and wasn’t actually even any sort of recipe but just very quick meals we had been eating while I was on my mat leave with Kenna). Here we are with another quick one but also, more direction.
I have been making the SIMPLE BUT DAMN GOOD GRANOLA from True Roots for years now– with my own spin of course. I made it last week and Kenna has been asking for it every morning and then asking for “more, more!” until I fill her bowl again. Here’s what I did.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Mix ingredients together in a bowl and scoop onto baking sheet, smoothing out into an even layer
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure it is crisping evenly
Technically you are supposed to let the granola sit for 20 minutes to harden before breaking up but I can’t resist eating it warm right out of the oven. It is so good. More, more, more!
